Message
This cover illustration visualizes the research on how circularly polarized light (CPL) interacts with a specially designed dielectric metasurface to improve the detection of chiral molecules—molecules that are mirror images of each other and play vital roles in medicine and biology. The researchers developed a metasurface made of achiral germanium (Ge) nanoresonators arranged in a tetramer pattern, which significantly enhances weak signals used in vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectroscopy.
Our role was to visualize this complex scientific concept into a visually engaging illustration that captures the essence of the study—showing how CPL interacts with the metasurface.
